The gates project site consists of an undeveloped 3.81‐acre parcel in northwest morgan hill. The project site is located west of Monterey Road on an undeveloped parcel with few trees and little vegetation. The surrounding neighborhood includes attached homes to the east across Monterey Road, single-family homes and the El Toro fire station across train tracks to the west, the Monterey Gateway mixed-use project to the south, and commercial uses, including an arco gas station and convenience store, beauty salons, and Starbucks drive-through to the north.
